With the development of big data and artificial intelligence technologies, the accounting profession is undergoing a profound transformation. The traditional accounting education model is no longer able to meet the demands of the new era for compound accounting talents. This work aims to deeply explore the reform paths of big data and accounting professional education to adapt to the new requirements of industry development. This work takes the big data and accounting major in higher vocational colleges as the research object, and through methods such as literature review, case analysis and empirical research, systematically constructs the talent cultivation model of big data and accounting major, clarifies the key areas and key tasks of the reform, elaborates in detail the current situation and predicament of big data and accounting professional education, and proposes specific transformation paths and talent cultivation approaches. This work provides theoretical support and practical guidance for the teaching reform of big data and accounting major in higher vocational colleges. The highlight lies in closely combining the background of "Internet +" and artificial intelligence, and proposing forward-looking management optimization strategies, which is of great significance for promoting the modernization of accounting education.
