The information technology course in vocational colleges is a compulsory or limited elective public basic course offered for all majors. In 2021, the Ministry of Education formulated the "Higher Vocational Education Specialized Information Technology Curriculum Standards (2021 Edition)" and renamed the course name uniformly as "Information Technology". This course covers various technologies such as information acquisition, representation, transmission, storage, processing, and application, as well as information retrieval, overview of new generation information technology, comprehensive literacy and social responsibility. It is committed to improving national information literacy, enhancing individuals' adaptability and creativity in the information society, and has significant implications for their lives, studies, and work, as well as for the comprehensive construction of a socialist modernized country. In order to meet the job requirements, vocational college graduates must possess basic computer theory and operational skills, as well as the ability to browse and search for relevant information online. To effectively address the issue of excessive knowledge transmission in information technology course teaching, insufficient connection with production and daily life, relative lack of practical and professional skills training, and students' knowledge and skills level in school may not meet the requirements of enterprises.

After more than ten years of accumulation and summary of information technology course teaching work, this book explores innovation in information technology course teaching and analyzes several effective teaching strategies, including flipped classroom in Chapter 1, blended learning mode in Chapter 2, case teaching mode in Chapter 3, action oriented teaching mode in Chapter 4, project-based teaching method in Chapter 5, task-based teaching method in Chapter 6, KST learning diagnostic model in Chapter 7, and guided learning plan in Chapter 8, providing some ideas for innovation in information technology course teaching.
