The computer major in China was first established at Harbin Institute of Technology in 1956. Due to the limitations of conditions at that time, only some students majoring in computer science were taught computer-related courses, while no such courses were offered to students of non-computer majors. As a result, students of non-computer majors had no knowledge of computers at all. At that time, except for students majoring in computer science, graduates of other majors were all computer illiterate. With the development of science and technology and the popularization of computers, the importance of computers in work and life has become increasingly prominent. Therefore, offering computer courses and teaching computer-related courses to non-computer major students is a social need and an inevitable trend in the development of education.
