At present, China is in a crucial period of moving towards high-quality development. This has transformed the value orientation and goal pursuit of the construction industry. The high-quality development of the economy and society urgently requires universities to reform and reshape the thinking paradigm, value orientation, goal pursuit, and key tasks of teaching in the engineering cost major. Based on this, this work, from the perspective of the full-process engineering cost consulting industry, re-examines the requirements for students' practical abilities at each stage of the full-process engineering cost consulting business. Combined with the current talent cultivation requirements for the engineering cost major in universities, it deeply explores a new model for cultivating cost professionals. Through research, it fundamentally transforms the educational model from single-stage cost teaching to comprehensive full-process cost management. The focus is on reshaping the collaborative education model for the full-process cost consulting business and reconstructing the curriculum system based on the demands of the full-process engineering cost business, promoting the effective connection between the education chain, talent chain, and industrial chain, as well as the innovation chain.
